Developing Your Intuition

We all have gut feelings about things that happen in our lives, yet  not everyone takes notice of them, or more often than not people look at a situation after the event knowing that they could of acted differently. If they had took more notice of their feelings and thoughts. It is quite common that people will state afterwards that something was nagging away in their mind or stomach. We all get these feelings and thoughts, but its no help stating we saw it coming after the dust has settled. To be intuitive you need to act on those feelings before the event. Hopefully I will help you to do just that.

The word intuition comes from Latin verb intueri which translates as “to look inside” or “to contemplate.” Yes to contemplate and to think through something, the first law of intuition, is in learning to think through a problem properly, to use your common sense.

Developing Psychic Awareness

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have psychic abilities. Or, how you might be able to develop or enhance existing gifts? If the answer is Yes to either of these questions, then read on! First of all, let us get one thing clear from the outset. You do have psychic abilities! It is my belief that all human beings are born with the psychic sense. An ability, that uses the vehicle of our other five senses of sight, sense, taste, smell and touch; And is often referred to as the ‘sixth sense’.

Examples of  how our ‘sixth sense’ or ‘psychic awareness’ manifests itself, can be seen in numerous different ways. The phone rings and you ‘just know’ who is calling. You suddenly think of someone you have not seen or heard from for ages, and you bump into them unexpectedly while out shopping later that day or the day after. These are examples of ‘precognition’ or ‘clairvoyance’.

Have you ever walked into a room, and even though everyone is looking and behaving normally, you can ‘feel’ something is not right. There is an old expression that refers to this experience as “you could cut the atmosphere with a knife”. Meaning that the air or energy in the room, felt ‘thick’ with emotion; so noticeable it was a physically tangible thing. Or you have been talking to  a friend, and for no reason suddenly felt compelled to bring up a topic of conversation, that turns out to be about something your friend has been secretly worrying about and needed to unburden themselves about it to someone. These are examples of ‘clairsentiance’, which is the ability to psychically connect to someone through the psychic sense of emotional or empathic awareness.

Developing Your Psychic Senses

Psychic ability is a natural human talent and we are all ‘psychic’ to some degree or another. It is an ability that stems from the area of awareness that goes beyond normal, everyday consciousness and the awareness that most of us label as being psychic or intuitive. The psychic sense, sometimes also called ‘The Sixth Sense’, is very much a part of our normal five senses, of sight, smell, taste, sound and touch. What the ‘psychic’ element does, is enhance and amplify those senses.

I believe the key to enhancing our psychic abilities is through raising our vibratory level. Everything around us including ourselves is made up of energy; though in varying degrees of density. It has been proven that, human beings, animals, plant life and mineral gives off an electro-magnetic field. This is the unseen, energy that we emit. The psychic vibration is of a much higher vibration then the dense energy matter of the physical earth. Those who are able to pick up, or sense that higher vibration, can interact with it. How that interaction takes place, depends on the strength of the individuals ability to feel or sense it. For example psychic ability manifests in the following ways.

Spiritual Awareness

Share:

Spiritual awareness is being open to the idea that there is a God, or a higher power that is leading you through life. It is being open to the messages you receive from this higher power, through your intuition. You don’t have to be psychic to develop your spiritual awareness, either; although, psychics do tend to have a highly-developed intuition and some psychic mediums are able to communicate directly with spirit. You can develop your intuition by practising regular meditation; this just means emptying your mind. When you first start to meditate, you may find that the worries of the day keep flitting through your mind, but don’t worry – this is perfectly natural. The more you practise meditation, this will happen less and less until you are able to clear your mind, for at least a few minutes per session. During these few minutes, you may find a unique sense of peace. This is your connection to spirit. You may receive messages from your intuition in the form of symbols, or other thoughts. You may want to make a note of these, after your session.

So, what is spirit? Spirit is another word for the soul. We are spiritual beings living in a physical body and it is a common belief, in many religions, that, once we die, the soul, or spirit, leaves the physical body and returns back to the spirit world. When mediums contact deceased friends or relatives, they are talking to the spirits of those who have passed. This can be comforting for many people, because it is proof of the existence of the afterlife.
