Hollywood has produced several films about people going on a quest to find themselves. ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ is just one example. What most of these films have in common is the idea that you have to go to a country half way around the world for you to do it!
Travel is a great way to reconnect with your true self because it allows you to relax and become immersed in a new culture. The idea is that, because you are away from your usual surroundings and daily routines, you are more likely to find the real you that is separate from your daily life. Sometimes your true self will change when you travel. They say that travel broadens the mind and meeting people from other cultures can sometimes lead to changes in beliefs or behaviour. You may become more altruistic if you visit areas of extreme poverty, for example.

As human beings we are all creatures of habit and routine. Though we may yearn at times for things to liven up a little, or for some excitement to occur. That is why when we experience great change and adversity; such as a relationship breaking down; a job loss; serious illness or bereavement It can feel as if our whole world has been turned upside down.
The frightening thing about these types of situations, is that the individual feels they no longer have any control over their lives. Life has sped up and not in a good way. Whilst it is true that we can be overtaken by unexpected events. It is not true that we don’t have any control over them. Because we do. Though we cannot change what is happening, we can control how we choose to ‘react’ to it.

When you focus on creating a better life, what comes to mind? Having an abundance of money is usually an often mentioned way of creating a better life. Another way to create a better life is having a job that you enjoy. Another certain way is the experience of great relationships.
There are countless desires that people set to create a better life. This includes acquiring cars, houses, accolades and living life to the fullest. But how does one actually go about bringing these visions into manifestation.
That’s just it. It’s all about the power of manifestation. It has been common school of thought that in order to get what one wants, one must bend, pull and force their way through physical reality. However, as we move forward in this age of conscious evolution, we are starting to understand that there are other ways in order to reach our goals and manifest our desires.

Self belief is a quality that confident, positive people have in abundance. They are often individuals, who have grown up within a warm and loving environment. Their abilities and good qualities praised and nurtured from an early age. Sadly, not everyone is fortunate enough to have had such a good start in life. Indeed, quite the opposite may have occurred. Neglected, unloved and sometimes abused. For these people, believing in themselves and having a healthy sense of self worth can be very hard. They may have been told many times, that they were unlovable, stupid and worthless. Many of us fall somewhere in between these two extremes; And whilst we do have some sense of self worth and belief. There is always room for improvement.
So how do we start to improve our own sense of self love, self worth and self esteem? I believe a good place to start, is through self understanding.
