Healing With Love

Whether you are aware of it or not. All of us can and do tap into the universal healing energy of love, on a regular basis. Every time you listen with patience and compassion to another person, or reach out a reassuring hand, you are becoming a channel of unconditional love. Every mother who holds her child close, wipes away a tear, who soothes hurts and fears; is a channel of healing love.

When people are in pain, be it emotional or spiritual. They often say how alone and lost they feel, and often push away those closest to them, who want to love and help them. Though I believe that we are always surrounded by love, the darkness of their thoughts and feelings in this state, creates a mantle of depression to settle on their shoulders; And it is this self erected barrier, that makes it difficult if not impossible for them to feel love. Feelings of despair and hopelessness can be a terrible thing. It is to those people I speak and to anyone who knows what it is like to feel lonely and  unloved.

Healing The Mind & Body

You would be surprised to know just how many illnesses are caused by stress. When we are stressed we can literally make ourselves sick with worry. Playing imaginary negative scenarios over and over in our minds can harm the body, as the subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between something real and something imagined.

When you are ill, it is always a good idea to go and visit a doctor. They can examine you and make sure there isn’t anything physically wrong with you. If there is, they can heal your body by providing the necessary medication. Sometimes, you may go to your medical practitioner and be told that there is either nothing wrong with you, or that your symptoms are likely to be psychosomatic; this means that your illness is all in your mind. You have either caused the symptoms by worry, or you imagine the symptoms and they’re not really there.

Understanding Reiki

Reiki is one of the most ancient healing methods known to mankind. It originated in Tibet and was rediscovered in the nineteenth century by a Japanese monk named Dr Mikao Usui. The tradition of Reiki is referred to in 2500 year old writings in Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language. The Usui system of natural healing named after Dr Usui, has been passed down by Reiki Masters since that time and is today practiced worldwide.

As humans we have Universal Life Energy all around us and within us. The Japanese word ‘rei-ki’ consists of two syllables: ‘rei’ which describes the cosmic, universal aspect of this energy, and ‘ki’, which means the fundamental life force flowing and pulsating in all living things. This life force energy is given to us at birth. We bring with us a certain amount of ‘ki’ to life and we use it up in the business of ordinary daily living. We then have to create a daily supply of new energy. When we are unable to make up for our energy consumption for a prolonged period, we may become physically, emotionally or spiritually ill.

Spiritual Healing

Spiritual healing or psychic healing has existed for centuries, and is found in almost every culture throughout history. Most types of spiritual healing involve energy, both inside and outside of the body. The purpose of most techniques is to cleanse and clear the body’s life force of negative obstructions, so that the mind, body and soul can harmonize. A lot of spiritual health practitioners see this as the only true path to whole health.

One of the benefits of spiritual healing is to enable total healing and not just curing symptoms. If mind, body and spirit can be made to work properly together, the illness can start to heal. It is usually believed by spiritual healing enthusiasts that any disorder, be it bodily, psychological or emotional, begins in the mind, at least in  part.
